This past weekend!

Hey everybody!!

Wow it has been a long time since I last posted anything on here.

Well from Thursday-Saturday I was at the Home School Conference!

If you were there and I didn't see you I am sorry I was doing a scavenger hunt.

Then Saturday afternoon we left to go to Summers ville, West Virgina.

We went Camping with my Mom's brother and his family.

Oh! Please pray for Sydney because she has a fever and also for Olivia because she has a driving test tomorrow ......... and for Chelsey for safe travels!!

Chi Chi (Chelsey) is coming home on Saturday!!!

Grrrr..... Once again!

Okay so I get to go to the hospital to get my blood drawn.

Yesterday I went to get a check-up and my Doctor said I need to get my thyroid gland checked.

So I had the choice of getting my blood drawn then or today I said "I don't want it.".

My doctor said "Oh! you'll get it." at that I wasn't so happy.

I haven't had any shots sence I was 4 and now I getting something taken out of my body that needs to be there in order for me to live.

Okay so we went to the Dentist for cleaning and they found a cavitiy in #29. Which I don't know what that means. So I have to go get a filling for a minisule cavitiy. I am not going to be going. I dislike the Dentist very much.

He is a gray Mini Schnauzer the loves people and he will pretty much replies to anything he looks really skinny.

He is almost Blind and has diabetes.

I don't think he had on his collar so nobody knows who to call if they find him=(

The Story of Easter

What an awfully sad day it had been for the friends of Jesus! They had stood watching sorrowfully, as Jesus hung on the cross dying. They didn't fully understand why it had to happen.

They believed that Jesus was the Son of God, and they remembered how He had healed the sick and made blind people see. They remembered how He had fed thousands of people with just a few loaves of bread and fish. They even remembered how He had caused dead people to come back to life. He was such a good, kind man; why did He have to die?

Just before the sun was beginning to sink into the west, Joseph, one of Jesus' friends, noticed that Jesus was no longer breathing. He hurriedly went to ask Pilate if he could have the body of Jesus so he could bury Him. When Pilate agreed, Joseph and Nicodemus (another friend) carefully wrapped Jesus' body in clean cloths. Then they took Him to a tomb to bury Him.

The next day, the Pharisees started thinking about Jesus. They were the people that had wanted to kill Jesus. They remembered how He had taught them, saying that He would rise again after three days. They were worried that it might be true! They also thought that Jesus' disciples would remember and might try to steal the body from the tomb just so they could say that Jesus rose again. They went to Pilate, suggesting that the tomb be closed up with a huge stone and that guards be placed all around the tomb.

Just before daylight the next day, the most amazing thing happened! There was a GREAT EARTHQUAKE! An ANGEL from the Lord came down from heaven, moved the gigantic stone away from the door of the tomb and sat on it. The guards began to shake with fear! They fell down to the ground as if they were dead!

Mary and some other women had decided to get up very early in the morning and go to visit the tomb where Jesus was placed. While walking down the road, they were discussing how they were going to get inside the tomb. They had brought along some spices and perfume that they wanted to place on Jesus' body. They knew the huge stone had been placed in the doorway and they had no idea how they were going to move it.

What a SURPRISE they found when they reached the tomb! The stone had already been moved! And . . . there was an ANGEL sitting on the stone! The women were quite afraid, but the angel spoke gently to them:

"Don't be afraid. I know that you have come to see Jesus. He is not here; for he is risen just as he said. Come inside and see the place where he lay."

The women went inside the tomb and found it empty, just as the angel had told them.

The angel spoke to the women one more time:

"Go quickly and tell the other disciples that Jesus has risen from the dead; and he is going into Galilee where you will see him."

The women did just as the angel had told them. They ran quickly from the tomb, with fear and great joy, to tell the good news to the other disciples. But . . . when the women found Peter and their other friends and tried to tell them the good news, . . . no one believed them!

When the women persisted, Peter decided that he needed to find out for himself.

He ran all the way to the tomb.

He went inside.

He saw the cloths that had been wrapped around Jesus, but the body was not there.

He wondered if it could possibly be true. Did Jesus really raise from the dead? Was Jesus really alive?

Two of Jesus' other friends were going on a journey to a village called Emmaus. As they walked and talked, they discussed all the things that had happened over the past few days. A man came along and joined the group. He walked along with them and wanted to join their discussion. Cleopas began telling the man about how Jesus was crucified on the cross. They talked about how the women found the empty tomb.

As they continued their journey, they invited the man to come in with them and have dinner. When they sat down to eat their meal, the man picked up a loaf of bread and broke it in pieces. Then he prayed for the meal and gave the bread to the men. At that very moment they realized that the man was JESUS! They had been talking to Jesus the whole time and didn't even know it!

Then . . . ANOTHER strange thing happened. As soon as they realized who it really was that sat at the table with them . . . Jesus disappeared! They talked about the wonderful time they had talking with Jesus down the road, and they just couldn't help talking about his strange disappearance. They got up from their meal and returned to Jerusalem where they told all the other disciples the good news that Jesus REALLY DID raise from the dead and had talked with them.

As they were talking, Jesus again appeared to them. They were afraid and thought they were seeing a ghost, but Jesus told them not to be afraid. He showed them His hands and feet where He had been nailed to the cross, so they would believe that it was really Him.

When they saw the nail holes in His hands and feet, they finally believed that Jesus had risen from the dead, just like He said He would. They were soooo happy and joyful to have their friend with them again. They were soooo excited that they had to tell EVERYBODY the good news that JESUS IS ALIVE!

What caused the huge stone to be moved?
Who was the first to look inside the tomb?
Why was Jesus' body not in the tomb?
What did the angel say to Mary and the women with her?

Well after they got in the neighborhood my mom, Sydney and I wanted to get in.
Well my dad called and said not to try to come so we didn't.
Syd thought that one of our dogs passed away but they are doing quite well!

So after that we all went to the Book Store!
We worked until 9:30 pm. :o(
I was so tired.
Well that's about it now we are doing great!

Tornado in NC

Hey y'all!!
I hope everyone is doing great and I am sorry if your home or business is damaged after what has happened here in North Carolina.
There is a big story on what happened to my Family.

So on Saturday my family and I were at the bookstore working on some new shelf's and stuff when the power went out.
Lets just say I freaked out!
So we worked in the darkness and waited for Olivia to call.
She finally called and said that a friend was taking her to her house because they owned some apartments and those got hit by the tornado and her dad told her mom to COME HOME!
Oh my bad Olivia was at a Birthday Party.

So we had to leave the bookstore to pick her up.
On our way home my Dad told me " Shelby if you see a Funnel Cloud tell me. We will have to get out of the car and hide in a ditch."
He said he didn't want to scare me..... but that scared me alright.

We were about half a mile away from our house when we spotted a TRAMPOLINE IN A TREE and red and blue lights.
The neighborhood beside us was completely destroyed and there was power lines and trees down in front of the High School in front of our house.
They would not let us get to our neighborhood.
So my dad and Olivia wanted to get to the house to check on the dogs and the cat so they went through the woods!
They got there!

Yesterday!!

So yesterday was a good and a bad day.

I'll talk about the good stuff first!!

Yesterday was Sydney's birthday!!!

She is now 13!!

That is a big number.

She said she doesn't want to grow up because she is a Toys R Us kid!!

For dinner we went to Chili's and it wasn't just her birthday.

There was about 5 other birthdays there!!

I got her a picture frame for the month of April, Balloon thingy, and last but not least a PAC O GUM!!!

The weird thing is that she is 13 and that means I have to turn 12 in august!

and that next fall she is going into drivers ed!!

WE ARE CRAZY!!!

Now for the bad part.

We went to climbing yesterday and we have a sub coach.

Because our coach had an outdoor climbing accident.

Lets just say I don't like her to much.

I don't mean to be mean but one of the girls on the team has been leaving her harness at her house for the past month.

Our coach coach doesn't care.

But of course subs are always mean and she disides that we are ALL going to do wall swats for 2 minutes.

Of course the girl who left her harness left 30 minutes early so she didn't have to do it.

That 2 minutes turned into 5 minutes because one boy keep on standing up.

So we had to restart.

Pine Trees

Oh how I miss the Pine Trees!

It's hard to believe but there are no Pine Trees in Florida:0(

I miss getting sap on the bottom of my feet and stepping on a Pine Cone( I really don't miss stepping on Pine Cones).

My Grandparents cat Sugar is starting to warm up to me!

Today my Grandma took me to the Libary and I got two books and a DVD!

Yesterday and Today!!

So yesterday was Busch Gardens and close Friends!

Today was kayaking!!

So I'll first talk about yesterday!!

So we got there and we went to some animal habitats.

Syd and I wanted to go on the Congo Rapids so we did twice!!

So we got soaked my shorts just dried this morning!!!

Then our friends live near Tampa ,FL!

We had desert and pllayed some games OH don't let me forget we also made a super small cake!!

So today at around 11:30am we decied we wanted to go Kayaking in the Rainbow River!!

I wasn't going to go but I thought it wiould be fun......so I went with the rest of the family!!

So we started at the head springs and my gradparents picked us the family toward the end at about 3 and a half miles!!

The Beach!!

Okay so yesterday we went to the Beach with the grandparents and cousins!

We did not go to Daytona beach but instead we went to Treasure Island!

Our cousins are so cute they call us "COUSIN"!!

LOL!!

I forgot my boggie board but I didn't think I would get in.

The water was cold at first but I was in the most!!

It was fun and enjoyable!!!

So I'm at my grandparents house and they are letting this old dued live in there backyard..... they live on the Withalacooce River.

So he lives in he's boat.

I think we are going to see our old neighbors by going to Busch Gardens with them but I don't know fot sure!!!

I can't wait to go to Daytonna Beach!!!!

The water might not be warm but it will be warm for me!!

Well today I had the Awana games and well I just don't want to brag but I must!!!

Liberty Bapist Church Spring Lake ,NC won by 10 points!!!

The funny thing is the Sparkies won the 3rd and 4th graders boys and girls won and 5th and 6th boys and girls won!!!!
It was the first time our eam has won ever sence my friend was a Sparkie and now she is in 6th grade!!!!

Chelsey also got home last night!!!

She brought her HAMOCK!!!

So Olivia, Chelsey and my Dad have one!!!!

Update

Okay so right now the family is staying at the hotel near Sam's Club.

Its sort-a cool staying there!!
Tomorrow my Grandparents are coming so its going to be crazy because were going to be at the hotel and there going to be at our neighbors house!!!

The house has fans and Humidifiers and it sounds like a Hurricane in there.....................

and let me tell you it does not sound good.

So with all the cords we can barley get through the House.

Update on the House!

Hey y'all!!

The house is doing fine for now.

At 8am the people are coming to check everything out.

They said that there going to have to take chunks of the wall and celling out so I'm a little scared I know that theres no reason to be scared when you have Jesus on your side.

It's crazy!!!

Its most likely been building up for a day or two now.

So I'm happy we got home when we did or our house would have been like flooded.

Please continue praying for the house.

HIYA!!!!

Okay I don't know what happened with all of those videos!!!

But today was beautiful!!!

I spent the entire day out there trying to catch a Lizard but they were not cooperating with me.

I had practice and there's only one more before the Awana games on March 19th witch is also WINTER JAM!!!!!

So I'm super pumped for the upcoming week!!

One. Monday I have life skills class!!

Two. Tuesday I have Drama and Music appreciation!!!

Three. Wednesday night I have Awana!!!

Four. Thursday I have three classes at the bookstore!!! Wait I'm not so happy about that...

FIVE.........are you ready to hear this??????? MARCH 25th I AM DOING A SEWING CLASS AT THE BOOKSTORE!!!!!!!!

YEAH I can't wait!!!!

Oh and I have a class on the 16th on how to use my new sewing machine!!!!

Well Wednesday I had Awana and we did the Grand Prix and I made an awesome car.

My car raced 3 times two out of 3 times I got 2 and I got first!!!!!

They judged the cars on speed and design.

I was very close to winning but it just didn't happen But I'm not to to sad.
